River Gallery School of Art

State: Vermont Date: 09/02/16 When I arrived in Brattleboro, I had one thing on my mind: finding somewhere to volunteer. However, as is usually the case, the place found me. While walking down Maine Street, a lady saw my sign: I learned her name was Jennifer and she suggested I volunteer at the River Gallery School of Art. I decided to take her advice and headed over there. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by Donna and Joslin who were eager to learn about my trip. First I went to the police station and got my fingerprints done to finish up my concealed carry permit forms.¬†After that I headed to the library to make a copy of the receipt fromRead More →

State: New Hampshire Date: 06/05/16 Volunteer:¬†www.gotlunchlaconia.org In each state I find a place to volunteer to make the world a better place wherever I go. Some of the time, I look for volunteering opportunities ¬†online (like I did in Maine with volunteering through¬†workaway.info¬†at a homestead), but more often the places find me. This past Sunday (July 3rd, 2016), I went to the¬†Congregational Church of Laconia, United Church of Christ. It was¬†suggested by Kelly and Sean, a couple who gave me a ride into Laconia. ¬†I met some wonderful people there and was given the opportunity to share a recent story of God working in myRead More →
